Thanks to Irene Hogstrom for the report!"The rain stopped and we had a gorgeous fall day for our visit to Trudi Temple's farm in Marengo. Trudi served us soup and sandwiches, with almost all of the ingredients coming from the farm. She has a large vegetable garden, fruit trees, grass fed cows, and chickens on the farm. After lunch, we had a tour and Trudi talked about her extensive conifer collection on the property. She is also striving to make the farm sustainable, as seen by the solar panels on her daughter's glass artworks studio. (in the photo, behind Trudi) "
